Both versions: approved according to EN 397 (industrial safety helmets) with the additional requirement for protection against lateral deformation;
V-Gard 520 only: approved to EN 13463-1 (non-electrical equipment for use in potentially explosive atmospheres), 440 V AC and EN 50365 (electrically insulating helmets for work on low-voltage installations), 1,000 V AC!
With its characteristic V-design, the MSA V-Gard is standard protective equipment on construction sites and industrial operations around the globe. MSA now counts more than 100 million units sold - and nothing speaks more for quality than many satisfied customers.

In contrast to the standard model, the V-Gard 500 and 520 models have an integrated rain gutter and an effective ventilation system that makes working on hot days and in humid work areas more comfortable.
In addition, the material of the helmet shell has been improved and is stronger than that of the classic V-Gard and V-Gard 200!
Depending on preference, this construction helmet is available as a ventilated or non-ventilated version and with a long or short visor for scaffolders.
