- Marking R = approved for reuse (more than one layer)

How long does a filter last?
How long a filter lasts depends on its filter class and the ambient conditions.
Factors influencing the service life are:
- Concentration of pollutants in the ambient air
- Composition of pollutants
- Humidity
- Temperature
- Air consumption of the user
Since the service life is influenced by many factors, it is not possible to give an estimated service life.
You can recognise the end of use of a filter by the fact that...
- with gas filters there is a noticeable taste/odour
- in the case of particle filters, the breathing resistance increases noticeably
- in the case of combination filters, one of the two above-mentioned characteristics occurs
