The Dräger DrugTest 5000 unit provides a fast and accurate system for checking saliva samples, for example amphetamines, so-called designer drugs, opiates, cocaine and its degradation products, benzodiazepines, cannabinoids or methadones.
This test set is easy to operate with or without gloves, either with the right or left hand, and avoids misinterpretations by showing accurate results only. Made from a rigid, porous material with capillary properties, this non-invasive test is also hygienic, since any contact with the sample and its components is avoided.

The verification test can be conducted in five simple steps and prevents erroneous operation.
First the protective cap is removed from the saliva collector and the test cassette is handed over to the subject. The applicant will then take the receiver into their mouth and take a saliva sample by moving the tester between the cheek and the gum. Once a sufficient amount of liquid has been absorbed, the integrated indicator turns blue and the test cartridge can be returned to the operator.
The operator, who has monitored the entire sampling process, then inserts the test cartridge into the analyzer and waits for the result, which is clearly displayed after a few minutes.

Individual samples can easily be assigned by labeling the test cassette with name and date. If necessary, the Dräger DrugTest 5000 can be used in conjunction with the Dräger 5000 DCD 5000 Saliva Collection System to enable a second sampling and the storage and transport of samples for laboratory analysis.
In combination with the Dräger SSK5000, it is possible to determine substances on a suspicious surface in a matter of minutes.
Each Dräger DrugTest 5000 test kit consists of a sample collection kit and a cartridge packaged in a bag.
