Dräger sampling tubes and systems With the Dräger sampling tubes and systems, the hazardous substances contained in the air are first enriched on a suitable medium by adsorption or chemisorption. The sample is then analysed qualitatively and quantitatively in the laboratory using instrumental analysis. For example, the Dräger X-axt 5000 (see item no.: 144148) can be used as a sampling pump. Price does not include the evaluation by the Dräger Analysis Service.
Examples of use: Active sampling of volatile organic compounds from air in working areas, indoor spaces and environmental areas as well as from contaminated soil in connection with a soil-air probe. The air is sucked through the collection medium with a pump. Depending on the collection medium, the following substances and substance groups can be adsorbed (examples): |
Carrying out the sampling: The sampling conditions must be selected according to the measuring task, taking into account the applicable regulations such as TRGS 402, BGI505, IFA workbook, DFG Luftanalysen Volume 1/2. The air sample can be taken at a fixed location (stationary) or by a person.
Analytics: The adsorbed substances are analysed according to laboratory procedures. Dräger Safety AG & Co. KGaA offers an analytical service for the examination of loaded sampling tubes (please request a service quotation from Dräger Analysentechnik, 23560 Lübeck). Intended consumption time: Unused and sealed sampling tubes can be stored indefinitely. Further information: You will find the order number and serial number on the packaging sleeve. Dräger Analysentechnik (0451-882 2221, 0451-882 4198). |
Description: The sampling tubes consist of a collection layer and a control layer. During sampling, the hazardous substances are adsorbed in the collection layer. When the absorption capacity is exceeded, the hazardous substances enter the control layer (breakthrough). A breakthrough occurs when more than 10 % of the hazardous substance quantity found in the collection layer is detected in the control layer. The volume flow and the sampling time must be selected depending on the other sampling conditions (air composition, humidity, temperature) so that no breakthrough occurs. Depending on the measurement task, the air volumes to be aspirated should be in the following ranges: The following Dräger-Tube pumps can be used for taking the air sample: - Dräger accuro (order no. 64 00000), - Dräger X-act 5000 (order no. 45 23 500). Follow the instructions for use of the Dräger-Tube pump (leak test). |
