- The members of our service team are well trained and can offer service, maintenance and calibrations for our breathalyzers (on request also from third parties). We are the only service center in Germany that can serve such a wide range of alcohol testing devices.
- Many competitors can not afford this service themselves, but we offer it in full!
- Alcohol testers should be calibrated every 6 to 12 months, depending on the model (please note the information in the operating instructions of your breathalyzer). If this does not happen, the results of the measurement are less accurate and additionally the warranty expires. A regular calibration is essential for accurate and reliable measurement results!
- Depending on the model, you can purchase a calibrated replacement sensor from ACE as an alternative to calibration.
- If you want to have your alcohol tester serviced by us, please fill out our return receipt (see below).

ATTENTION: Since April 1, 2019 there has been an adjustment of the flat rates for the calibration service. Due to higher shipping costs, the flat rates listed in the third line of the table below apply to customers domiciled outside Germany or Austria.

The Calibration return receipt is available as a PDF file. Please click on the thumbnail on the right or on the link at the end of this text passage, print the return receipt out and fill in all requested data. Then put the return receipt into the package* with the breathalyzer(s) which shall be calibrated at ACE.

Important note: If you pay the calibration service per "PayPal" then use the e-mail-address info@ace-technik.de and please write "Calibration service" into the PayPal message box. Thank you very much in advance!

*For security reasons (save transport) and to be able to track your parcel we recommend to send the breathalyzer(s) in a package so that you get a proof of delivery.

- In order to maintain the accuracy of a breathalyzer, it should be readjusted = calibrated periodically.
- The decisive factor is not the frequency of use - as often assumed wrongly - but the time: If a breathalyzer is heavily used and often used, the zero point shifts. But the sensitivity of the integrated sensor also decreases with low-used breathalyzers or those which are not used for a long time.
- So regardless of the use, breathalyzers have to be calibrated within certain intervals (see details about the calibration in the manual we sent together with the breathalyzer). 

Please note: The warranty expires if the recommended calibration intervals are not observed.

Each breathalyzer which you purchased at ACE can be calibrated at ACE. We are also able to calibrate breathalyzers that have been purchased from third-party suppliers if they are distributed to them by ACE or if the breathalyzers are identical to the ones offered by ACE.

The date of the next due calibration can be read on the calibration sticker on your breathalyzer. If the calibration sticker is missing, the calibration date is six months or a multiple of it after the purchase date. E.g. the date of purchase is the 13th of May, then the next due calibration is on the 13th of November and the following calibration on the 13th of May in the next year.

After you have printed out the return receipt, please fill out the receipt as completely as possible. Then send it along with your breathalyzer FREE POSTAGE to the address indicated on the calibration return receipt. Breathalyzers contain sensitive electronics: Therefor please always pack the device in a way that no transport damage is possible. We recommend to send the package as parcel, so that in the case of inconceivability the shipment tracking or the delivery proof is possible.

*For breathalyzers belonging to the series AL6000, AL7000, ACE Pro and ACE III as well as for stationary breathalyzers like AL3500, AL4000 and ACE Public/ACE Public V you can purchase exchange sensors (instead of a calibration). Please note that the calibration of a stationary breathalyzer (AL3500, AL4000, ACE Public, ACE Public V) is more complex and so the price for the calibration service of such breathalyzers costs EUR 80,00 (or EUR 90,00 depending on the country you live).

After we have received your breathalyzer, it will be returned no later than after 3 working days. The service package includes the following services (fixed price incl. VAT / Please note the prices valid since 1st of April 2019 for customers outside Germany & AT):

- Sensor inspection using the latest measuring equipment
- Renewal of the calibration reference sticker
- Issuing a test report (calibration certificate)
- Free return shipping (insured DHL package) of the breathalyzer calibrated by ACE

Additional service for customers residing in Germany or Austria:

- 1 free set of new batteries (quantity depending on the type and model of your breathalyzer)

- 25 free additional mouthpieces for mobile alcohol testers (exception: 5 mouthpieces for the Dräger Alcotest 3820, for the Dräger Alcotest 5000 and for the ACE iblow10 there are no mouthpieces, because they are used with a special reusable funnel / with a special reusable insert cap)
